Episcopal Day School’s Annual
Grill on the Hill
O
n Saturday April 8 Episcopal Day School of
Pensacola held its 7th annual “Grill on the Hill”
BBQ competition. While “Grilling the Dream, in
Shelley LeCroy Style”, attendees had the opportunity
to participate in a fun-fi lled afternoon of BBQ tasting from eight
teams, unlimited beer and wine, as well as a silent and live auction.
Tickets were sold in advance for $25 each on EventBrite.com and
were also available at the door for all you can eat BBQ and drinks.
A last minute musical performance was provided by the Fly By
Night Rounders from North Carolina.
Local businesses had the opportunity to sponsor this event, with
options including the “Bringin’ Home the Bacon” package for
$2500, “Grillin’ Gold” for $1000, “Sizzlin’ Silver for $500, and
“Burnin Bronze” for $250.
Proceeds from this event benefi t the following: Shelley LeCroy
Memorial Fund, Episcopal Day School PSO, Episcopal Day
School Annual Fund for Excellence.
Donations up for auction included a handmade quilt featuring
paint pressed handprints from students, a David Yurman infi nity
ring provided by Jewelers Trade Shop, and a 3 day and 4 night
stay at the Hacienda Tres Rios Resort, Spa and Nature Walk in
Cancun, Mexico!
The Episcopal Day School seeks to send students out into the
world with a mutual respect for others and a love of learning
grounded in the Episcopal tradition of academic, ethical, and
spiritual growth. These students are serving as the benchmark in
our community and beyond for implementation of 21st Century
skills, commitment to community and service, and preparation for
a diverse, global world.
