P
ensacola MESS Hall hosted a special event combining science and food at Sanders Beach Center on
February 8. This fundraising event lets people get hands-on experience to learn how science is all around
us, and how food and science are connected, to make the wonderful menu creations. MESS Hall Goes
Gourmet highlighted some local chefs including: Daniel Watts from Classic City Catering, Irv Miller from
Jackson’s Steakhouse, Blake Rushing from Union Public House, Josh Warner from The District, and Jordan Hewes
from Craft Gourmet Bakery. The event also had a live science trivia challenge and a live donation auction.
This fundraiser helps with outreach programs and bringing science to our community. Pensacola MESS Hall
works to inspire curiosity, experimentation, and creative problem solving through exploration of math, engineering
and science.
