so nobody was surprised when he sold
his fi nance company and headed to the
turquoise waters of the Caribbean. With
his 100-ton commercial captain license
he began to charter private yachts.
Never meeting a stranger he quickly
learned the array of yachts and crew
personalities and, with that knowledge, his

chose Pensacola, Florida, for his home.
Presented with a unique opportunity to turn
his second passion – golf, into a profession,
Leo and a few of his friends purchased the
Scenic Hills Golf Course and Country Club
(www.scenichills.com) which keeps him on
land more now than at sea. Scenic Hills
Country Club was established in 1958, and
recently Leo and his team have initiated
plans to build resort style accommodations
and residences to propel the Club to an
award winning local and travel destination.
Jeff Helms is a Partner and Senior Client
Consultant with Warren Averett Asset

Investment Advisor. He specializes in
providing fi nancial design solutions for high-
net-worth clients in the areas of retirement

and estate and tax planning. Jeff believes
it is important to help clients manage their

planning after spending more than 10 years
with the Firm’s Tax Department.
Jeff lives in his hometown of Milton, Florida
with his wife and two children and enjoys
snowboarding and waterskiing.
Joseph McNair is a Partner and Senior

Investment Advisor. He works closely with

fi nancial plan. He helps them to understand
the benefi ts of building a well-balanced
portfolio, while ignoring the hysteria that

rewards, as well as understanding his

and solve their specifi c challenges.
Outside the offi ce, Joseph is an active
triathlete and runner, and he enjoys in-shore
fi shing around Perdido Key.
