Sandshaker on Pensacola Beach chose to kick off the Mardi Gras Season 
with the 5th Annual Wig Wacker Party. The event took place on January 
20 and it was all about wigs, wackers, and beads. The event was The 

Sandshaker’s way to celebrate in an easy “costume” and have some fun to kick off the season 
on the beach. Entertainment featuring PHILO on the band stage with prizes for best wig 
and best group wearing wigs.  “Wigging Out” at the Sandshaker in 2018 did not disappoint 
the large crowd kicking off the Mardi Gras season on Pensacola Beach.
