T

he annual Cordova Mall
Ball party is hosted by
the Krewe of Les Petits
Enfants (the Order of the

Small Children). On Saturday, January
27, the corridors of Pensacola’s Cordova
Mall were fi lled with more than 2,500 people
from across Northwest Florida who came together
for an evening of Mardi Gras magic to raise funds
benefi ting The Studer Family Children’s Hospital at
Sacred Heart.

Every year, Cordova Mall closes early and transforms into a

fabulous venue for the elegant Ball with the help of many volunteers.
When the doors reopened, guests were invited to enjoy tastings from
more than 25 restaurants who provided tapas sized portions of local

favorites including Café Nola on the
Beach and Bread of Life Bakery. A silent
auction was also held which included
vacation packages, jewelry, art, and much

more. Separate live entertainment in three

wings was provided, as well as a three-piece

jazz band in the event’s French Market, an area

reminiscent of New Orleans’ French Quarter.

Over the past 22 years, this event has helped The

Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart
transform pediatric care by generating more than fi ve

million dollars to purchase specialized pediatric equipment, and
renovate the rooftop healing garden. Over the next fi ve years,
proceeds from the Cordova Mall Ball are designated to be used to
purchase the region’s fastest pediatric CT scanner.
