I AM PENSACOLA - Pam Homyak
What is your hometown, what brought you
to the Pensacola area and how long have
you been here.
I was born in Pensacola, and have lived here all
my life. This is why “Heritage Tourism” is so
important to me. Just like Pensacola, I too, am a
product of it’s “Five Flags. I am Spanish, French,
English, & Creek Indian.
What is your profession and give a brief
description of what you do.
I’m a Realtor-Sales Agent for DSLD Homes.
DSLD Homes has just entered the Florida market,
and I am their site sales agent for the newest Gulf
Breeze community on Soundside Drive, called
“The Waters”. My newest passion is helping grow
Pensacola’s “heritage tourism”, by bringing more
experiences that immerse one into our rich history.
The Jacksonian Guard was a great addition to
Historic Downtown, a reenactment of 18th century
soldiers perform a colors ceremony of the transfer of
Spanish Florida to a U.S. Territory. The ceremony
is performed monthly, on the 3rd Saturday of each
month, 12 Noon, in Plaza Ferdinand.
What led you to choose this profession?
I got the fever from my husband who has been in
commercial real estate for 35 years, so his love and
passion eventually pulled me out of healthcare sales
into in his world.
What do you like best about Pensacola?
What makes it unique?
I can say that we have the best of all the worlds, and
that alone, makes Pensacola a very unique, special
place, encompassing both nationally acclaimed
beaches and historical downtown. I love most
and am fascinated by Pensacola’s rich history. I
also love our people as they make Pensacola great
with their community spirit and philanthropy,
patriotism-as home of the Blue Angels and cradle
of Naval Aviation, our arts and culture-Symphony,
Theatre, Ballet, and Opera. These are assets, you
usually don’t have in a small town, but it’s the
combined community effort that makes Pensacola
great!
Three words that best describe you.
Relentless, Patient, Grateful
Favorite Things you like about Pensacola.
My favorite things are…Historic Pensacola, sugar
white Beaches, Pensacola Symphony, Blue Wahoo’s
Baseball, US Navy Blue Angels, & Downtown’s
First City Lights Festival.
Finish this statement, I AM PENSACOLA
because…
It’s literally in my blood, and in all my travels, I
can’t imagine living any other place.
