Understandably so, though there are a few other features in

the two-story home that she and Joe love with equal abandon.

Among them, naturally enough for the highly social couple, is

the kitchen, its perimeter spaces outlined by custom dark wood

cabinets topped in caressed granite. Pouring on the Craftsman

appeal with a brick masonry backsplash, the room easily plays

command central in an open concept floor plan, the site of many

party-time preps and countless adventures in cooking. Kitted

with stainless steel appliances and a massive center island made

truly unique by its hand distressed wooden cabinetry base, the

space opens into a dining area and wet bar perfect for shaking

up some crafty cocktails, though one might say the true show-

stopper is a large picture window just off the bar, the thick

framework of its molding seeming to put the backyard just

beyond well on display.

And such a backyard is certainly worthy of display, as the

vaulted-ceiling of the covered porch affords open airiness and

provides the perfect view of a sparkling pool and sunrises that

paint the sky in a wash of vibrant hues as each new day dawns.

“Having that view is one of the things Joe loves most,” Kelly

says. Understandably capitalizing on such scenery, the kitchen’s

window placement almost beckons one to venture outside and

enjoy the natural splendor all around, though smells wafting

from the stove might keep one firmly planted inside.
