SRE hosted their 2nd annual “Be My Neighbor Day” at the Jean and Paul Amos Performance
Studio on April 27. The entrance to the studio was filled with several unique experiences for
children and their families to enjoy, including

Thomas and Friends train rides, hula hooping with

Peg and Kat, and an opportunity to discover the inside of fire trucks, ambulances, and a police car.

ECUA had their “Quench Buggy” on hand for proper hydration, and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation
Commission had an interactive display which invited families to learn more about the wildlife in our area. Many
health and education vendors were on hand sharing valuable knowledge about upcoming community events,
organizations, and assistance to those in need.

Inside the theatre, the Steve Songs show held performances throughout the day, and a meet and greet with Daniel

Tiger and Katerina Kittycat was also available. Around the studio, many demonstrations were available to participate
in, and enjoy activities such as Cookie Monster Checkers, Dinosaur Train Basketball, Bert’s Sesame Street Bowling,
Coloring Fun with Clifford the Dog, and Daniel Tiger’s Music Shop. Many area service providers also handed
out useful information on groups such as Guardian Ad Litem, the Early Learning Coalition of Escambia County,
FamilesFirst Network of Lakeview, Gulf Coast Kid’s House, Pensacola Mess Hall, and the Pensacola State Kids
College.
