oasting two stages, twenty bands
and close to seven thousand
pounds of crawfish over three
days, Bamboo Willie’s threw

a party for folks who love music and
mudbugs on April 21-23. In addition to
the crawfish, there were equal portions of
spicy corn and potatoes. Beautiful weather
helped bring the people out in search of
the delicious crustaceans and all the rock
and blues they could handle. In addition to

the crawfish and live music, for the second
year, a 5K run took place on Saturday
morning. Many folks attending the festival
were visiting Pensacola Beach with their
families and for many it was their first
time eating the southern delicacy. Folks
either parked their boats at the docks of
Quietwater or ventured over from Casino
Beach in their bathing suits to get some
mudbugs or refreshing beverages and listen
to some good music. Three members of the

musical act, Jeriko Turnpikes, drove up
from Clearwater with their wives to play in
this festival and were impressed with the
turnout and the delicious crawfish. Clearly,
they were enamored with the Pensacola
crowds and hospitality as they hope to
return next year. On Saturday night, a
fireworks display was put on to offer a
spectacular ending to the day and to excite
everyone about the next day’s event finale.
