T

he Pensacola community came
out strong on Saturday, April
22 at Community Maritime
Park to March for Babies at the

2017 March of Dimes Walk.  It was a fun
day out with people who shared a passion
for improving the health of babies. There
were family teams, company teams, and
people walking with friends and it was a
great feeling knowing they are all helping
real families.

The 2017 Ambassador Family is the

Schlossberg family. Scott and Ashley’s

daughter, Lauren, was born at 25 weeks
gestation, weighing 1 pound 5 ounces and
was only 12.5 inches long at birth. She
had to be delivered early due to her mom
developing severe preeclampsia during
pregnancy. Lauren spent 129 days in the
NICU before her family could bring her
home. Today, she is a bright, happy and
healthy 6-year-old.

Participants of the 2017 March enjoyed

the event and walked with others all to
raise money for babies right here in the
Pensacola community.
