Seville Quarter is recreating the Running of the Bulls for the 6th year in historic downtown 

Pensacola. This tribute to Pensacola’s Spanish heritage will be staged July 21-23 in the area 
surrounding the popular entertainment complex. This year, the Running of the Bulls will 
benefi t the USO of Northwest Florida.

The event will offi cially begin Thursday and the main event will be Saturday’s Encierro which 

features a meaner breed of bulls—the Pensacola Roller Gurlz and other ladies from roller-derby 
leagues. The fi rst cannon will fi re at 10:00 a.m., releasing the runners onto the approximately 
two-mile course. At the second cannon, the bulls will be released wielding whiffl e bats to chase 
down the runners. The festival will continue in the street in front of Seville Quarter.

Heroes Among Us

Heroes Among Us is a six-month speaker series than runs from 

May to October. It features Veterans of every service branch and 
generation, hosted by the local Marine Corps League J. R. Spears 
Detachment #066 at the Pensacola Veterans Memorial Park on 
the last Friday of each month, in order to support the Marines in 
Distress Fund established by the Marine Corps League to help 
Veterans in need, anything from medical needs to helping pay rent.

This month’s feature is Korean War Remembrance Night with 

Guest of Honor Sergeant (Rev.) John Phillips, US Army, Bronze 
Star, Battle of Pork Chop Hill, Republic of Korea.

Night Out

Mother & Son Night Out is 

an event celebrating the special 
relationship between mothers 
(or mother-fi gures) and their sons. The event highlights the role that 
mothers play in their son’s development and focuses on the skills that 
young men need to know in order to treat women with respect and 
dignity. Mother & Son Night Out is also designed to show mothers how 
important their presence and support is in the lives of their sons. The 
event will be full of good food, good music, and entertainment.

Blues on the Bay Concert Series

famous Blue Angels coming home while you enjoy FREE music 
and great times on the beautiful Pensacola Bay! 

Pack your coolers and bring your lawn chairs. Concessions are

Concerts are free and open to the public.
