T
he home of Dottie and David Galloway was graciously opened up to members,
supporters, and beloved guests for the Covenant Care Holiday Soiree on Thursday,
December 8. Catering was provided by Classic City Catering, a fl autist from
the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra performed throughout the event for live
entertainment, and thier the lovely home was fi lled with support for Covenant Care. Aaron West
spoke in detail about the My Wish Program and Patient Emergency Support Fund and how
both programs provide care and support to Covenant’s patients. Covenant Care’s Mission is to
improve the quality of every life they touch by providing comprehensive support, personalized
care, and honoring the wishes of patients and families. Covenant Care serves 50 counties in
Northwest Florida and Southeast Alabama and provides care to more than 6,000 patients a year.
Care services include hospice, palliative care, memory care, home health, and help at home.
The My Wish program grants a fi nal wish to individuals receiving hospice care through
Covenant Care. Many of these individuals have a wish, such as marrying the love of their life, a
newborn family photo session, or reuniting with family for one last time. This program started in
January, 2018 and has granted almost 100 wishes in the past year for patients and their families.
Covenant Care’s Patient Emergency Support Fund supports patients and their families during
their most vulnerable time of need. In the past year, Covenant Care has helped patients pay their
power bills who are in dire need of oxygen and their electricity has been turned off. Many of their
families have reached out in need of groceries when there was no food in the house.
