n Friday November 3, the 
Escambia County Public 
Schools Foundation hosted 
the first Enhancing Education 

Auction at Ruth’s Kitchen- The Wright 
Place, also known as Ruth’s Kitchen at First 
United Methodist Church of Pensacola.

The Escambia County Public Schools 

Foundation invited guests to participate 
in their first ever silent auction event, 
which featured tables of beautiful, fun, and 
extravagant baskets to bid on. Attendees also 
could pre-purchase a “chance to win” ticket 
or buy one at the event.

Randy Ramos hosted the event as emcee 

and had auctions opening and closing every 
few minutes. Texas Roadhouse Pensacola 
provided guests with a baked potato bar. 
Multiple culinary programs throughout 
the school district suppled incredible 
desserts and entertainment was provided by 
students from the Washington High School 
Orchestra. 

With the large number of baskets lined up 

for auction, there was a variety of options 
for every taste. All proceeds from the 
auction helps directly fund public schools in 
Escambia County.

Public Schools Foundation is to encourage 
academic excellence by enhancing the 
quality of education for every student in 
the Escambia County School District. The 
Foundation is a non-profit community 
investment organization dedicated to 
enriching and enhancing the quality of 
education for students and educators in 
Escambia County.
