n December 19, The Institute for 
Women in Politics of Northwest 
Florida Inc. hosted a VIP 
luncheon to honor Stephanie 

Bryan, Tribal Chair and CEO for the Poarch 
Band of Creek Indians. In 2014, Stephanie 
was the very fi rst woman elected to serve in 
the Poarch’s top leadership position, after 

previously serving as Vice Chair since 2006. 
The Chairwoman has become known for being 
a passionate advocate for Indian Country, and 
for serving on several national and regional 
boards.

Chairwoman Bryan spoke to attendees 

about her passion towards improving 
education, encouraging talent, providing equal 

opportunity, change and economic growth not 
limited by zip codes or states. Bryan has also 
devoted many resources and funding to help 
create better health care designed to support 
every stage of life. Over 75 million dollars have 
been donated to date to contribute towards 
education, fi nancial aid, and health care by the 
Poarch Creek Band of Indians tribe.
