VIP Pensacola at Naval Aviation Museum

O

n January 15, guests were gathered for a very special treat
at the Naval Aviation Museum of Pensacola. The world-
famous Glenn Miller Orchestra held its 25th annual
performance event, carrying on the music and feeling of

the original Glenn Miller Orchestra formed in 1938. The fully self-
contained, 18-member group fi lled the room with the sounds of classic
Big-Band favorites, such as “In the Mood,” “Moonlight Serenade,”
“Little Brown Jug,” and “Chattanooga Choo-Choo.”

The Glenn Miller Orchestra was led by music director and vocalist

Nick Hilscher. He began his professional career in the 1990s as a
teenager, and has been featured on several albums with the Glenn
Miller Orchestra, including “On The Air” and “Steppin’ Out.”
Concertgoers were also able to enjoy dinner at the authentic Cubi Bar
Café, which remained open from 5:15–6:45PM for a special dinner
menu and cash bar.
