he Krewe of Bananimals packed out the Sandshaker on Pensacola Beach for their 
fi rst Member Social of the year on January 6. The krewe happily presented their 
2019 royalty, which includes King Chris Simmons, Queen Jamie Gilbert, Duke and 
Duchess Darryel and Terri Kelley. Current President and 2018 King Nick Radcliff 

spoke, and members gathered together for their fi rst chance to hear about the events planned 
throughout the year, the upcoming ball and coronation, invite non-members to sign up, and 
enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. Lektric Mullet provided musical entertainment for the evening, 
which is also their regular performing location on Sundays. 

Last year was the 25th anniversary of the organization, and they are one of the oldest krewes in 

Pensacola. The Krewe of Bananimals is committed to providing philanthropic efforts to several 
local organizations, including the Santa Rosa Kids House, and several senior citizen centers in 
the area.
