SREhosted the 30th annual Wine and Food Classic during
the weekend of October 19-21.  The theme for this year was
“Pirates, Pinot & Pearls.”  Celebrity television chef Sara
Moulton headlined the weekend-long event, which also

showcased local chefs and restaurants during the annual walkabout tasting on
Friday and a dinner event on Saturday at the Hilton Pensacola Beach. Suzie
Payne, WSRE’s senior administrator/community engagement and lead event
coordinator for the Wine and Food Classic said, “This annual fundraising
weekend is a longtime favorite of local foodies and supports the mission of
WSRE to positively impact communities through education, entertainment
and engagement.”

So Gourmet & Kitchenry was the presenting sponsor of the WSRE Wine

& Food Classic and hosted a book signing featuring Moulton and her latest
cookbook, “Home Cooking 101: How to Make Everything Taste Better,”
on Sunday, October 21. During the book signing, Chef Sara Moulton was
available to chat with fans, discuss some of the new recipes in her book, and
personally sign each book for guests. This was her first visit to the area as she
stated, “I’m excited to see what the local chefs are up to and to meet people
from a place that I haven’t been before, so it should be great!” Refreshments
were provided, and a photo booth was available to commemorate the occasion.
