he “My Brothers and Sisters” organization, and Worship Mode Music
Group presented the “Uncle Reece” and friends tour on Saturday, July 14,
at the Brownsville Community Center. The event featured a special guest
appearance by “Deacon Elmo” aka C.O.E. Also performing was KD3,

Maine The Baptist (aka Jermaine Williams), John Jackson, the Soulful Movement
Dance team, Juan Andre, and Yung Salt. This group of artists tour specifically to
promote the gospel and present new audiences with the opportunity to experience the
subject matter in a different format. Uncle Reece’s message is bold enough to go where
many other artists, especially rappers, have been afraid to go. Reese says, “A lot of
people who listen to rap can’t accept a positive message through that art form. I come
rapping about Jesus and they not even gonna listen. But as time progresses, gospel rap
is going to get bigger. You better believe.”

My Brothers and Sisters organizations strive to bridge the gap in families by

promoting entertainment, by embracing cultural diversity, and using artistic
expressions. The organization’s Director, Kim Cox, makes it her mission to give back
to the community. She provided underprivileged children and families with low or no
cost opportunities to attend entertainment and activity venues in order to encourage
community involvement. Kim is also known for presenting the “Daddy/Daughter”
dance, and this year is holding the “Mother/Son” dance as well.
