T

his Fourth of July, the city of Pensacola was invited to celebrate our country,
community, and military with a free, public concert performed by the Pensacola
Symphony Orchestra. Guests were encouraged to bring chairs and blankets and
enjoy this exciting, family-friendly show at the Hunter Amphitheater behind

the Blue Wahoos Stadium. The United States Marine Corps presented the colors, followed
by the national anthem. At the conclusion of “The Star Spangled Banner,” fi ghter jets came
screaming over the Bay for a fantastic fl yover show. The Pensacola Symphony Orchestra played
a patriotic musical performance, among other classical favorites, and continued to play along
with an additional fi reworks show at the Hunter Amphitheatre that wrapped up just before the
Pensacola Sertoma Fireworks show started at 9:00 p.m.

“Symphony Sparks, and Stars is a chance for families and others to enjoy the local treasure

of talent and natural beauty Pensacola has to offer,” stated Peter J. Mougey of sponsor, Levin
Papantoino Law Firm. “The symphony is a huge asset to our community, like our armed
forces, and I am excited to be a part of making this concert a Gulf Coast tradition to celebrate
Independence Day on beautiful Pensacola Bay. The Levin Papantonio Law Firm is committed
to making this a fun, patriotic event.”
