Such unique appeal is only fitting in a home such as theirs,
and the master bathroom floor’s are the perfect canvas for the
luxurious dual vanities, walk-in glass shower, and freestanding
soaking tub that complete the space. As part of the master, the
chandelier-lit bathroom is only one aspect of the suite, however,
as the bedroom and capacious walk-in closet comprise what is, in
all actuality, an entire wing devoted to Kris and David. “It really
feels like our very own retreat,” Kris notes.
Mere steps away from their retreat are the calming waters of the
canal that borders the back edge of their property, and the couple
took full advantage of their location when they designed their
home. Four balconies offer views of the sound and stretch as far
along the horizon to afford them a vantage point of Portofino and
Pensacola Beach. “The upstairs balcony has a wonderful view of
the sound, and we love seeing all the lights from Pensacola Beach
at night. We’re also directly across from Portofino, so we’ll be
getting a great view of the fireworks in the summer,” says Kris,
who is greatly looking forward to spending their first summer in
their home. “Because of our location on the canal, we can see lots
of great wildlife from the back of the house, and we’ve spotted
pelicans, egrets, ducks, and even some fish jumping out of the
water. I love it!”
Having moved to Ocala five years ago for work, the couple and
their two children greatly missed living on the water, and when
the chance arose to come to the Pensacola area, they knew they
had found a place to love. “We were so excited to be brought
back to the beach,” Kris recalls. “We chose this location because
we wanted to find something on or near the water, and David
actually found the lot on a website. We love it here because
Pensacola reminds me so much of Wilmington, North Carolina,
where I grew up; and now Gulf Breeze really feels like home!”
