he Margaritaville Beach Hotel and Frank & Lola’s Cafe proudly hosted the Live 
Cooking Demo and Book Signing with the renowned Chef Carlo Sernaglia. Guests 
were invited to attend a special, one on one live demonstration of Chef Carlo cooking 
up his famous crab and quinoa cakes with curry kale slaw. Local Margaritaville 

Chef, Eric Troup worked side by side Chef Carlo on the demonstration and helped inform 
guests of the relaxed recipe, which gives home chefs an opportunity to enjoy and treat 
themselves to a fresh taste of paradise. This live cooking demo took place in the Margaritaville 
Beach Hotel lobby, followed by a book signing of Margaritaville: The Cookbook shortly after. 

The Margaritaville Hotel has cherished Chef Carlo as their concept chef for the brand and 

this was his fi rst visit to the Pensacola location. Margaritaville: The Cookbook was co-authored 
by Julia Terschon, with Chef Carlo being the main contributor for the easy to make, fresh, 
elevated recipes; all made with fresh ingredients. Each recipe was constructed with the “Home 
Cook” in mind, taking care to bring all the elements of a fi ne dining restaurant to a home kitchen 
table without the hassle of a reservation, going out, or an unnecessary amount of ingredients to 
assemble.
