T

he Pensacola MESS Hall presented the MESS Hall
Wine Pull on Friday, July 20. Guests were invited to
“Sip for Science,” and play a role in supporting local
science education and outreach by sampling a variety of

wines, munching on hors d’oeuvres, and mingling with others who
inspire creativity and scientifi c curiosity. Each guest had a chance
to win a “mystery” bottle of wine from the pull by performing an
experiment to see what they could win.

Becoming a sponsor allowed attendees to have their brand

recognized as a local supporter of science, creativity, and curiosity.
Gold Sponsor packages granted admission for 12, named
sponsorship in program materials and sponsor banner. Silver
Sponsor packages granted admission for 6, named sponsorship in
program materials and sponsor banner.

The MESS Hall is not a standard science museum. Rather than

exhibits with planned outcomes, visitors get to work like real
scientists, developing questions and creating experiments, engaging
in complex reasoning and learning science just through tinkering.
It’s all hands-on science. Their mission is to inspire curiosity,
experimentation, and creative problem solving through exploration
of math, engineering, and science. The Pensacola MESS Hall aspires
to attract and create a community of critical and creative thinkers of
all ages who are inspired by and understand the basic principles of
science.
