owntown Enterprise hosted its annual Holiday Open House December 3. This year’s
event was the biggest to date. All the shops along Main Street were open for business.
The Downtown Holiday Open House had something for all ages to enjoy, in particular

the children. Santa and Mrs. Claus flew down all the way from the North Pole to attend the
event. A long line of boys and girls patiently waited to tell the big guy in red all their Christmas
wishes. Kids could also decorate gingerbread houses, make jewelry and enjoy story telling at The
Enterprise Public Library.

Sounds of the holidays filled the streets downtown all morning and into the afternoon.

There were plenty of performances for the crowd to enjoy. Harrand Creek Harmonies, Pinedale
Elementary, Enterprise High School, Masterworks Choir, Coppinville/Dauphin Choirs and
Hillcrest Elementary took the stage located near the Boll Weevil Monument. People who needed
to take a break from all the shopping and walking could enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride
through the streets of downtown. The Holiday Open House’s fun, family-friendly festivities
definitely filled everyone who attended with plenty of Christmas spirit.
