Emeril’s Coastal Italian Names Chef
de Cuisine and General Manager
New Grand Boulevard Restaurant
Serving Classic Italian and Showcasing
Local Seafood
While the
anticipation for
Emeril’s Lagasse’s
new restaurant
in Grand Boulevard
at Sandestin builds,
Chef Emeril and
his team have been
working diligently
on all aspects of the
restaurant, preparing
for a late summer opening.
Shane Quinlan has been named the Chef
de Cuisine for Emeril’s Coastal Italian. Chef
Shane has strong ties to the new restaurant’s
home in Northwest Florida as he was born
and raised in Destin, Florida.
Wanting to return with his family to the
Emerald Coast and the beaches of South
Walton, Chef Shane accepted the position
of Executive Chef over the Beach Club at
Watersound
and all of St. Joe
Club & Resort’s
golf clubs.
Connecting with
local purveyors
and the local community led Chef Shane to
launch his own business, a private Chef and
Catering service, bringing top restaurant
quality food and wine into the homes of the
busy professionals and seasonal visitors of the
South Walton area.
Ki Song An has been named General
Manager of Emeril’s Coastal Italian. He has
worked for Emeril’s Restaurant Group since
1999 when Chef Emeril opened Delmonico

Emeril’s Coastal Italian opened on August
26 in Grand Boulevard at Sandestin. The
restaurant will open at 11:30am, seven days a
week. Both indoor and outdoor dining options
will be available. Emeril’s Coastal Italian will
offer one menu for both lunch and dinner.
Rock Painting Raises Funds
for CIC Kids
It could be just a simple act of kindness
but its making a big impact in communities
across the country. Rock painting groups
are brightening the days of strangers, one
beautiful rock at a time. Rob and Amy
Sparks, Children In Crisis Neighborhood
house parents started rock panting a few
months ago and it’s really become very
popular at CIC.
Lauren Helms of Helms Hauling and
Materials, started raising funds for CIC and
other charities by donating the revenue from
the rocks that were purchased for the purpose
of rock painting. She made an awesome
donation of $984.68 to give back to the
community and help CIC feed and clothe the
children living at the CIC neighborhood.
According to Ken Hair, CIC President &
CEO, “It really makes our children living
at the CIC Neighborhood feel special when
people from the
community are
called to action.
This is only one
example of the
awesome support
from people like
Lauren who care.”
Children in Crisis, Inc. is a 501(c)(3), non-
profi t charity of caring people working
together to provide homes and establish hope
to the abused, neglected, and abandoned
children of our community. The Children’s
Neighborhood is a beautiful facility, built by
the generous support of our community.
