K

ingdom Women held their regular bi-monthly
meeting at the Surf Hut Restaurant in Miramar
Beach on Thursday, August 3. This sisterhood
group was founded by local author of the

book, “His Daughter’s Treasure” and philanthropist Mary
Cornelison Bross.  Mary’s idea was to create an atmosphere
where women of all nationalities, ages, social statuses, as well
as fi nancial backgrounds could intermingle, dissolving the
boundaries that cause so many to disengage with one another.

The Facebook group has assisted in bringing many

women together and has accumulated thousands of group

members, many of which have become great friends and
business associates. These groups are the defi nition of women
empowering one another.

Mary’s idea has worked and is growing throughout the

Southeast as similar groups are being formed. Kingdom
Women Business Networking, Inspiration and Prayer, and
YouShine are a few of her groups.

Kingdom Women Business Networking has given women

throughout different regions the opportunity to help one
another grow their businesses by cross marketing as well as
using each other’s services.
