O

n Friday, August 12, the Grayton Beer Company
hosted its annual Hop Harvest Celebration. “Every
year, nature gives us this reason to celebrate,” said
Tyler White, head brewer at Grayton. “Hops are

harvested as summer draws to an end.  When the fl owers are fi rst
picked they contain beautiful, unique fl avors that simply cannot be
replicated at any other time of the year.” Fresh hops must be used
within 48 hours of harvest. Grayton Beer Company received its
1,000 pound delivery at 6:00 am and immediately incorporated them
into their fall seasonal harvest ale. The limited-edition brew will be
released in mid-September.

In honor of this once-a-year event, the facility celebrated in the

Taproom on Friday evening. Temperley’s British Eatery served food
and refreshments. Mose Wilson and The Delta Twang provided the

musical entertainment. Guests were invited to bring the whole crew,
stating the event was kid and dog-friendly.

The Grayton Beer Company is tucked along the Florida

panhandle, along the sugar white sand beaches, warm emerald
waters and rich forests. They reside in a place where each handshake
matters, impromptu backyard parties happen in a heartbeat and
everyone is invited. Neighbors are your friends and the brewery
is located in the heart of this community. The folks at Grayton
Beer Company feel like their beer suits the way of life in the 30A
community and sums up the lighthearted panhandle mentality. The
company brews their unique line of beers with a Gulf-Coast state of
mind to provide pure, simple refreshment. Grayton Beer is proud to
call South Walton, Florida, home.
