R

ain or shine, the paddleboard racers at the 7th Annual
Paddle at the Porch event August 18 were ready to
compete. Lined up along the Gulf shore, racers prepared
for either a 6-Mile Elite, 3-Mile Recreational or the

1-Mile Beginners paddleboard race. There were even a few brave little
paddlers out there for the Kids Fun Paddle race. With various sponsors
and vendors located right on the beach, spectators were able to not

only keep an eye on the racers but were able to learn more about each
sponsor, shop their merchandise, and even grab some food or drinks
from The Back Porch Seafood & Oyster Bar. As you can see from
all the smiling faces, grey, cloudy skies and rain showers never put a
damper on the fun of this even. For more information on awards, mile
times, race partners and sponsors; visit: www.PaddleAtThePorch.com.
