M
ama Clemenza’s may be in a beach town, but guests are treated to a full
European breakfast experience with a warm, Italian welcome, every time.
Owner Tammy “Mama” Damiano opened her location in Holiday Plaza in
2012 and for a short time, her breakfast and brunch restaurant was just a little hidden
gem frequented by locals. Guests began sharing hundreds of tantalizing food photos
and glowing reviews on Yelp and Facebook, and surely enough, the secret got out.
The fi ve-star reviews speak for themselves! Guests rave over dishes like Seafood
Crepes, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, the Mediterranean Omelet, and of course, the
award-winning Eggs Benedict served with prosciutto over Yorkshire Pudding. And,
you must sip on a fresh Bellini, Mimosa, or Mama’s signature cappuccino – literally, a
delicious drizzle spells out “Mama” on top.
“We love what we do,” said Damiano. “Over the years, our loyal guests have
become family to us.”
Mama’s famous European breakfast can also be found
at Clemenza’s Uptown Station every Sunday. No matter
what day of the week, this is an indulgent breakfast you
won’t want to rush through. So sit back and relax. Mama
always said, “Breakfast is the most important meal of the
day!”

K
ay Cox is
a Dothan
native and
manager of Cox Hot
Tubs, a division
of Cox Building
Corporation and
sister company of Cox
Pools. Kay originally
became involved with
Cox Pools in 1979.
At that time their
headquarters was still
located in Dothan.
Then owner, Richard
Cox, Sr. needed help
with the booming
construction business
so Kay sold pools
in the summer and
taught kindergarten
in the fall. Kay
eventually married
Richard Cox, Jr.,
current owner. Cox
Pools later moved the
headquarters to Panama City Beach and then expanded to Okaloosa
and Walton counties. When they ventured into furniture sales Kay
ran the stores, one of which was located in Destin. She balanced
her career with raising three daughters. When Kay is not selling
(Marquis Spas, Bullfrog Spas, Westminster Teak, Outdoor by Design
Furniture, Seaside Casual Furniture, and Sunlighten Saunas) she’s
spending time with her four beautiful grandchildren. She attributes
her success in the industry to taking the time to know her customers.
“When I know a person, I can better help them achieve their look
and meet their goals. Most times I fi nd out we have a friend or family
member in common!”
