kaloosa County Commission on the Status of Women, (OCCSW) held their 2018
Women’s Hall of Fame Ceremony on August 27 at the Emerald Coast Convention
Center. Induction into the Hall of Fame is the Commission’s oldest and most
prestigious award. Pictures of the women inducted into the Hall of Fame are

displayed at the Okaloosa County Administration Building in Shalimar, the Niceville City
Council Chamber, and in the Brackin Building in Crestview. The 2018 women honored were
individuals who give freely and unselfi shly by volunteering their time to community activities in
Okaloosa County and inspire others as role models. Their lives and works have made signifi cant
contributions to the improvement and enhancement of life for all women and citizens in
Okaloosa County.

The four accomplished and distinguished ladies inducted in the hall of fame were Dr.

Vivian Green - Education, Carolyn Ketchel  - Contemporary Inductee, Gayle Norgaard -
Humanitarian Inductee, and Pam Woodall - Business Inductee. These four ladies are great
examples and they have made signifi cant contributions to the improvement of women and
citizens of Okaloosa County and the communities they serve. The OCCSW was established
by the Board of County Commissioners in 1995 for the purpose of recognizing and honoring
women who have made an impact to their community.
