his help, they upgraded computer systems to the latest

technology, even giving an online portal to their now 1850

plus training and/or boarding clients.

The training center soon became so busy it was turning

away clients for Doggie Daycare. The retail store could only

hold a handful of items and they knew people needed a viable

option to the big box stores.

The time was right to expand. Led by Corey, they opened

their new facility in Miramar Beach. It is located on Highway

98 just east of Silver Sands Premium Outlets. It has 5,000

sq-ft of space, equally divided between retail and Doggie

Daycare. It also has a fenced yard that offers another 4,000

sq-ft of play space.

What’s Up Dog? believes you must also invest in the

community that invests in you. They are supporters of South

Walton High School sports programs, and offer their facility

to Walton County Animal Shelter each month to hold an

adoption event, inside, out of the elements. Our area has the

highest concentration of Veterans suffering from PTSD and

Traumatic Brain Injury in the country. Last year, Steve and

his family started Pawsitive Love Foundation to raise funds

in order to procure, train, and place properly trained Service

Dogs with Veterans, and children with Autism and Epilepsy.

In just one year they have placed 12 dogs. These dogs require

the specialized training that What’s Up Dog? offers. You

should consider joining this family in their mission to help.

We are glad to have them on the Emerald Coast, supporting

our community.
