O

n September 11, the White-Wilson Community
Foundation celebrated the success of the 9th Annual
Little Black Dress Party. The celebration took place
at Cuvee Kitchen and Wine Bar and was a chance for

the event’s 2018 honorary chairs, Chris and Ewa Ruyan, to honor
the event committee and sponsors.

To wrap up the evening, the White-Wilson Community

Foundation awarded almost $50,000 in community health grants
to programs improving access to care for those in Okaloosa, Santa
Rosa, and Walton Counties. The deserving recipients were Boys
and Girls Club of the Emerald Coast, Children in Crisis, Mental
Health Association of Okaloosa and Walton County, and Sight
Savers America.

The mission of the White-Wilson Community Foundation is to

improve access to health education and services for underserved
men, women and children in the local community. The Little
Black Dress Party serves as the nonprofi t’s premier fundraising
event and to date has raised more than $560,000. Plans for the
10th Annual Little Black Dress Party are already underway.
