L

eather, lace, glitter, and every other option for motorcycle gear was on display as
Emerald Coast Harley-Davidson and the Junior League of the Emerald Coast
shifted gears on March 23 to partner in a successful fundraising drive. But this
wasn’t just a chance to check out the latest apparel for hitting the streets on your

Harley, it was also about revving up funds to purchase clothes for a new Junior League
initiative. The group has taken its successful annual Child Clothing Project and expanded
it into the Child Clothing Closet. Proceeds from this event will help pay to stock a closet
with free, brand new clothes and shoes for underprivileged students at local schools and
nonprofi ts throughout Okaloosa and Walton counties. Closets are already operational at two
locations and in the works at two others. This get-together by the Junior League and Ladies
Garage Party will help sponsor a fi fth closet for kids, enabling the Junior League to serve
children virtually year-round.

Meanwhile, with women the fastest growing demographic for Harley- Davidson

purchasers, the popular Ladies Garage Party offered attendees a chance to learn how to
properly lift a motorcycle, check out hot Harley fashions, explore their inner biker chick, and
visit with local vendors who also work to give back to the community. Local children will
reap the rewards with clothes to make them smile. For more on the Child Clothing Project,
