n February 1, the Walton Area Chamber of Commerce held their annual 
Chamber Gala, at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa. The event 
was a fun-filled evening with guests dressed like icons from the Roaring 
Twenties. Event-goers came to celebrate the successes of the past year, share 

the vision of the chamber’s future, and enjoy top-notch entertainment.

The evening featured a seated dinner with a networking reception and Chamber award 

ceremony. The 2019 board members were sworn in and awards were given to a few 
hardworking businesses and individuals.The award winners were:

Large Business of the year:  Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa
Small Business of the year North:  Habitat for Humanity of Walton County
Large Business of the year South:  Grayton Beer
Young Professional Person of the Year:  Jessica Bracken
Walton Area Chamber Ambassador of the Year:  Patricia and Dennis Lutz
Walton Area Chamber Person of the Year:  Jimy Thorpe
