estin Area Chamber of Commerce held their Business After Hours at Dewey 
Destin’s 1835 Porch on the harbor on April 25, bringing local business men 
and women together to enjoy an after-work day get together to network, 
mingle, and enjoy cocktails and appetizers. The event was sponsored by 

Dewey Destin’s 1835 Porch, a locally owned gulf front restaurant serving Florida seafood 
and cocktails in a casual coastal atmosphere. The Business After Hours events offer an 
end-of-the-day networking opportunity to help local professionals meet new clients, 
promote their business, and expand their network. At the end of the event a door prize 
drawing took place, sending some lucky winners home with some goodies that were 
donated by some of the local businesses in attendance.

The Destin Area Chamber of Commerce prides itself on working to build successful 

businesses and a vibrant economy. The Chamber provides products and services to its 
member businesses helping them grow and prosper. The Chamber acts as the voice of 
business in government affairs. Governed by a volunteer board of directors and operated 
by a professional staff, the Chamber works daily to ensure that businesses have what they 
need to flourish. A strong base of volunteers assist in making sure that all programs are 
relevant to the needs of businesses.
