I AM DESTIN - Kimberly Brundage

What is your hometown, what brought you

to the Emerald Coast and how long have you

been here?

I was born in Ohio, but grew up in Spring, TX. I am

truly a Texas Girl at heart. My husband and I moved

here in 2000 for work in the payment processing

business. We have now been here a little over 16 years

and have raised two beautiful teenagers.

What is your profession and give brief

description of what you do?

I am a Wardrobe Consultant (aka Closet Therapist!)

and own a company called Style By Kimberly.  I have

about 24 years of experience dressing women of all

ages and sizes.  I basically help them clean out their

closets, get more organized and then teach them how

to pull together the best outfi ts for their body types.

Stylists aren’t just for celebrities anymore and are

more affordable than you think!

What led you to this profession?

Over the years I have fi gured out the tips and tricks

of looking like a million bucks on a budget. I have

experience in all facets of wardrobing from owning

boutiques, design degree, buying, merchandising,

commercial styling, photo shoot styling, sorority prep,

and elevating your looks to another level.

What do you like best about Destin? What

makes it unique?

I absolutely love that this beautiful town embraces

our local artists, creatives and entrepreneurs. I think

we all settled here because we wanted a “stop and

smell the roses” kind of life. We have so many talented

people swirling around us. I think it’s so important we

support our local businesses even if it means spending

a few dollars more than we saw online.  This town has

seen some hard times but we rebuild together, protect

our beaches, protect our fi shing industries and we

treat our artists like Rockstars!

Three words that best describe you.

Friendly, Compassionate, Loyal

Favorite Things you like about Destin.

This sleepy little fi shing village stole my heart.

Finish this statement, I AM DESTIN because…

I wasn’t born here, but instead CHOSE to make it

Home.
