Y
ou can call it one of the best days ever for 1,582 students enjoying the achievement
of their May 6 graduation from Northwest Florida State College. Nearby, a roomful
of people who helped shape and support those educational efforts were on hand to
celebrate as well, at a Commencement VIP Luncheon.
College administrators, members of the NWFSC Board of Trustees, elected offi cials, and
other special guests were invited to commemorate the college’s ongoing success enhancing our
future quality of life. College President Dr. Devin Stephenson says their support continues to be
instrumental in providing educational opportunities that shape our collective futures.
It is through a tradition of service and the unwavering dedication of its faculty, staff and
community partners that Northwest Florida State College has positively impacted the lives of
more than 381,893 students in various credit and non-credit programs. Additionally, more than
40,326 individuals have earned degrees or certifi cates from the college – and countless other
students have received a great start at NWFSC before they transferred to another college or
university to complete their degree.
With that kind of impressive track record to celebrate, the VIP Commencement Luncheon
was organized to recognize many of the individuals whose invaluable contributions are helping
Northwest Florida State College fulfi ll its mission.
