acred Heart Hospital of the Emerald Coast held its 17th Annual Charity Golf Classic 
Spring Bash at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort and Spa on April 22. The event, 
which is the hospital’s largest fundraising event, was to raise funds to benefi t their new 
emergency department expansion. Over the past 17 years, Charity Golf Classic’s annual 

two-day event has raised over $3.5 million benefi ting the Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald 
Coast.

It was an evening of live music by The Bay Bridge Band, heavy hors d’oeuvres, a stunning 

silent auction, and a very successful live auction in support of the emergency department 
expansion. The 2018 committee chairman, Bryan Whitehead, assured the guests and sponsors 
that the event and the fundraiser would not have been possible without them. This year’s 
sponsors are Howard Hospitality, Howard Group, Silver Sands Premium Outlets, Grand 
Boulevard, St Joe Community Foundation, The Hilton Sandestin Beach Resort and Spa, The 
Hive, Proffi tt PR, and Dixielectricar.
