If there is anywhere else in the world

that possesses a synergy of, nature,

philanthropy, business, cuisine, and

style in their community like Destin

does, I want to go there. So much is

offered in the short span ranging from

Fort Walton Beach to Inlet Beach that

it is difficult to compare to anywhere

else in the world. The Destin area

encompasses many beautiful qualities,

and style is one of them.  In this issue

we focus a bit on some of the fashion

and style in the area. Now, before you

think that relegates us to discussing

just clothing, behold many of the

ways the area possesses a style and

fashion in its own right. Sure, clothing is important and, around

here, no item is more prominent than bathing suits. Our

Destin

Style feature explores Dip Swimwear with their many beach-

attire offerings, and a little bit more.

The casual-chicness of our area also extends to the architecture,

automobiles, interior design, and the cuisine. It is interesting to

think about how we experience the diversity of style in a single

day. It may include a walk on the beach, an outdoor business

lunch on the Destin Harbor, fashionable shopping for clothing

and home décor, drinks at an elegant and plush eatery, and then

a chance to attend one of the many evening events that populate

our social calendars. All of these opportunities invoke a very

different sensory experience for everyone and they all relate to

the unique coastal style that has evolved over many years.

Throughout this issue you will surely see the variety of style

and fashion that the area offers. I mean, how much more diverse

can style be than with an event called Hard Hats & High Heels.

Maybe not as diverse, but certainly fashionable, were other

events such as the Sinfonia and Jimmy Choo fundraiser or the

Hemline Grand Opening. Look at the many other events in our

June issue and then consider for yourself how fortunate you are

to be living among a place that inherits style from a fisherman

in boardshorts and a tee to a fashionista at a couture event… and

then realize too, that sometimes, that is the same person.
