our Korean and Vietnam Vets. “In 2011 I was honored by Eglin Air Force
Base for having the courage to change their policy of a Fortune 500 company
(UBS/PaineWebber) to support our reservists for longer than the traditional 6
months,” said Tim. “This was due to one of my employees, a Green Beret Army
Ranger, who was about to lose his book of business and benefits. In February
of this year, I arranged for the Collings Foundation to add a Destin stop in their
Wings of Freedom Tour; they have a B24, a B17, a B25, and a P51 on display. I
was so excited to hitch a ride on the B24 (my dad flew 51 missions in one) with
some of my Crispy Warrior buddies including a 99-year-old WWII Vet. Josh,
my 13 year old stepson, skipped school and came along.”
Tim believes part of success comes from investing in oneself, and that doesn’t
mean buying fancy watches or shoes. “I am a huge fan of self-help books and
cassettes,” he laughed. Zig Ziglar said, “If you help enough people get what
they want, you will always get what you need!” Tim believes you must always
put the client first and magically, you will be rewarded more often than not. Tim
finds that he is most content spending time with his family. “Jill and I have six
children between us and it’s always a blast to get them together. Their ages range
from 13 to 38 and now I have my second granddaughter on
the way,” he exclaimed. Tim is always ready for an adventure,
whether it is on a Harley or a bicycle. He enjoys being outside
and fishing, sometimes underwater with a spear gun. Above
all else, Tim is known for being a man of his word, when he
tells you he is going to do something, it will get done.
