n June 12 the City Market family of merchants hosted a Sip and Shop event, on the 
Bayside of the Market. Members of Kelly Plantation, Regatta Bay, and Calusa Bay 
communities attended the Sip and Shop with family and friends and enjoyed free 
drinks and lite bites at each business, provided by Carrabba’s. Every guest had a 

check-in card that was stamped at each merchant’s entrance to confi rm they visited that store. 
Later the cards were entered into a drawing where a few lucky winners took home some fabulous 
prizes.  

The businesses which took part in the Sip and Shop were Bijoux De Mer, Frill Seekers Gifts, 

Scenic Sotheby’s International Realty, Luna Ballroom, LuxExchange Designer Boutique, and 
Tropical Smoothie Cafe. 

The publisher of Regatta Bay Neighborhood Newsletter, Corey Flynn, stated, “The Sip and 

Shop was the perfect social event to bring members of both neighborhood communities and 
businesses together to foster a cohesive bond between the community and the businesses which 
serve them.”
