n June 2016 Lindsay, who works as a salesperson at Legacy
Cabinets in Niceville, was dashing to her car for an already
late lunch when she saw Zack, owner of Nesius Building
Company, out of the corner of her eye fumbling with an arm full of
blueprints. He was walking towards Lindsay’s now locked showroom. She
froze, debating with herself whether to continue to lunch to satisfy her
hunger or turn around and help him.
Lindsay’s conscience got the best of her; she turned around and darted
back to the showroom. Lindsay made the meeting very brief, telling Zack
she had an important appointment and couldn’t be late. She requested
the blueprints be emailed to her, they exchanged business cards and she
sent him on his way with several cabinet door samples.
Fast forward four months and numerous professional business
meetings later, Lindsay sent a text message to Zack after business hours
apologizing for not having quotes to him as promised. She told him she
had not been feeling well. He texted back, “Well, take care of your pretty
little self.” What started out as a business discussion quickly turned into
a personal conversation with Zack eventually asking Lindsay out on their
first date. That weekend he flew her to Universal Studios in Orlando for
Halloween Horror Night where their love story began.
Their magical engagement was a prelude to their wedding. Lindsay, her
sister Lauren, and mother, Mary, were planning a girls’ trip to Europe
when Zack inquired about going along. The ladies agreed he could join
them. They flew from Amsterdam to Paris on Tuesday, April 23, getting
up at 3am to make their flight. They were all exhausted after several
hours visiting the Louvre and Cathedral of Notre-Dame. The group went
back to their Air B&B to refresh before heading out again for a visit to
the Eiffel Tower and dinner. Lindsay begged to stay longer in the room
so she could rest, but Zack had an agenda and insisted they were not
staying in the room any longer than necessary. They arrived near the
Eiffel Tower earlier than Zack’s plan called for, so they detoured on side
streets to stall for the arrival of the photographer. Meanwhile, Lauren
was expressing her wishes for a warm sweater because she was cold.
Mary insisted Lindsay give up her sweater to Lauren. (This was done so
Lindsay didn’t have a bulky sweater covering her while a photographer
captured their special moment.) Once the sweater was off, Lauren and
Mary quickly split from the couple. Zack diverted Lindsay’s attention by
dancing with her, swinging and twirling her around. As she was making
her final twirl Zack got down on one knee, stuck out his hands with a
ring box, and started to pop the question. Lindsay immediately kissed him
and said yes, not even letting him finish his proposal.
The couple planned their wedding ceremony and reception at the
picturesque Eden Gardens State Park in Santa Rosa Beach, FL, on
November 24, 2018, at 3:30pm. The ceremony was conducted beneath
the shade of the sprawling Spanish moss-draped 600 year-old oak tree
known as the “wedding tree,” and officiated by Zack’s grandfather, Toy
Arnett, Founder/Senior Pastor of Faith Assembly Christian Church.
Lindsay wore a stunning, vintage inspired, off-the-shoulder neckline
gown by Martina Liana. The wedding dress featured long, illusion-
laced sleeves, embroidered French lace, and unique lattice work with
an illusion-lace and tulle motif highlighting the back of the gown, while
a soft, lace train extended effortlessly from its skirt finishing with an
elegant scalloped-lace detail at the hem. For something old to wear,
Lindsay wore her great-grandmother’s 101 year old wedding ring which
had been worn at 10 previous weddings.
Lindsay and Zack’s wedding reception was held under a large, clear-
roofed tent with white lights strung across the top that sparkled like
the stars. The tent was provided by Rich from Panache Tents. The event
was planned by Tammy D’Agostino and intern Devin Herrington, from
The Eventful Planner. The many guests danced all night under the stars
to music provided by DJ Vladi Jimenez. The couple’s treasured moments
were captured by photographer Aislinn McKenna from Ais Portraits
and videographer Nick Stafford from Swell House Media. Guests were
treated to a southern tradition of Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q where the
pulled pork was a hit and cheese biscuits were plentiful. The wedding
cake was a four-tier classic white cake with cream cheese icing and
raspberry filling. Bouquets were designed by Sally LaCourse from Floral
by the Sea. The beautiful bride and bridesmaids’ hair was styled by
Samantha and Sarah from Rolland’s Beauty Bar and make-up by artist
Jenelle Lizanecz from 30A Makeup Artist provided the finishing touches.
Tables and chairs provided by Carley Hubbard from Showtime Events.
