uzanne J. Cotton and Luke Walden Andrews met through a
mutual friend here in beautiful Destin, Florida. “The first time
we met I knew there was something special about her and I

needed to know more,” remembers Luke. “We never slowed down
after that day.” Both of them come from the south, Suzanne growing
up in Opp, Alabama, with her parents, Hubert and Glenda Anderson,
and Luke growing up in DeFuniak Springs, Florida, with his parents, Gus
and Donna Andrews. It was fitting for them to seal their future in the
beautiful southern city of Savannah, Georgia, when they got engaged on
September 3, 2016. Luke had been carrying around the ring for several
weeks, just waiting until the perfect opportunity.

While enjoying a delicious brunch outside of a café, a horse and

carriage came by. A light went off in Luke’s head and he called the
carriage company to orchestrate a surprise. That night they went and
had a romantic dinner. As they exited the restaurant there was the
carriage waiting there. Suzanne and Luke road through all the historic
squares in Savannah, hand in hand. When they made it to Columbia
Square the driver stopped the carriage to “check” the undercarriage.
They hopped off and walked out into the heart of the square to the
beautiful fountain surrounded by huge oak trees that form a canopy

above. With shaky hands, Luke proposed to Suzanne. It was one of the
greatest nights of both of their lives.

The wedding took place on April 29, 2017, at the Presbyterian

Church on the lake yard in DeFuniak Springs. Getting married in this
location was a very sentimental experience because Luke’s entire
family including his brother, parents, aunts, uncles and grandparents
have all gotten married in the same church over the course of many
years. Suzanne wore a stunningly chic and timeless gown and her
bridesmaids complimented the scenery in beautiful blush dresses. The
reception was held at Luke’s parents home in DeFuniak surrounded
by draping greenery provided by McLeans Florist and neutral colors.
Melanie Grace Weddings planned the day perfectly and Kansas Pitts
Photography was there to capture every beautiful moment. Suzanne
looked the part of the blushing bride with makeup by Morgan King
and hair styled by Jessica Gallant. A delicious meal was served by Blue
Mountain Catering followed by the couple’s first dance to Wonderful
Tonight by Eric Clapton. Blue Denim, a band from Atlanta played music
throughout the reception. After the perfect wedding, Luke and Suzanne
celebrated their nuptials with a honeymoon to Cap Cana Dominican
Republic and now reside on 30A in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.
