P

aige O’Shea and Bentley “Taylor” Waterfield have a love
story for the ages. Most couples meet as adults and get to
know each other over a short span of time. Very few couples

have the unique opportunity to know each other most of their lives;
Paige and Taylor are one of those rare exceptions. While learning
their alphabet and running on the playground, these lovebirds met in
preschool at First Baptist Church of Destin. Paige grew up in Destin,
Florida, with her parents, Phillip and Kelly O’Shea. Taylor also grew up
along the beautiful beaches of Destin with his parents, Benny and Karen
Waterfield. These two have been by each other’s sides every step of
the way. First attending Destin Elementary School together, progressing
to Destin Middle School and then heading to Fort Walton Beach High
School. They continued their higher education hand in hand at Florida
State University where Paige was a Delta Gamma. Paige now works
as an Insurance Agent with Waterfield & Associates, Inc. and Taylor
followed his love of the sea to become owner and Captain of Destin
Backcountry Fishing Charter.

After years of growing up together, they knew they were meant to

be together. Taylor turned a carnival into the most romantic night of
their lives when he popped the question under the stars on a ferris
wheel ride. He took Paige’s breath away…and she said yes. The wedding
took place on March 17, 2017, a picture-perfect day at Destin United
Methodist Church. Taylor considered himself the “luckiest man in the

world” to wed his childhood sweetheart on the luckiest day of the
year, St. Patrick’s Day. The wedding was filled with Irish charm and lots
of green mixed with other jewel tones. The theme was traditional
but casual with Irish flair. The bride wore a classic gown from Simply
Elegant that was complemented by her beautiful bridesmaids all in
purple. Anthony Rine of Emerald Coast Entertainment Services kicked
off the reception at Destin Bay House with I Believe In You by Don
Williams as the couple’s first dance. Paige thought of every detail for
her big day and her vision was carried out by Amber Jetter of Beach
Side Ceremonies & Events. Amber also planned the beautiful floral
design for the occasion. Before the evening of celebration, Seth Glenn
of Coastal Chow Catering served up delicious cuisine. The finishing
touch after dinner was a decadent wedding cake courtesy of Publix of
Destin. Paige looked stunning with hair and makeup that held all day, by
Dani Bertram and Tania Crawford of Pure & Couture. Every moment
was captured by Anna Calhoon Photography, creating memories that
will last a lifetime. Paige and Taylor love exploring together and are
always expanding their horizons. They spent a romantic week on a
Norwegian cruise sailing around Mexico together to celebrate their
honeymoon. Paige and Taylor have settled down and planted roots
where their fairytale all began, in Destin, Florida. They bought a home
in Destin Proper near the scenic Destin Harbor where they will live
out their love story.
