ff to a great start for 2019, 
the Walton Area Chamber 
of Commerce held their fi rst 
Power of Business Luncheon 

at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & 
Spa on January 8. The event was sponsored 
by Randy Wise Homes Inc., and guests had 
the opportunity to hear from the dynamic 
keynote speaker Mike Moore. Mike is ranked 
by Klout in the top 0.1% on leadership and 
sales, and in the top 5% of social media 
infl uencers worldwide. He has also presented 

on the ABCs of leadership, 1+1=1=3 and 
the importance of mentorship, and has an 
impressive list of career accomplishments 
such as being the author of Build Trust.

Before the introduction of the guest 

speaker, the president and CEO of the 
Walton Area Chamber of Commerce Megan 
Harrison, introduced her board members 
and thanked them for their investments, 
she also showed her appreciation to 
mentors by calling them up on stage to be 
honored. Board of Director Member Dave 

Jefferson also acknowledged the mentors 
by talking about the long-term relationship 
between mentors and mentees, stating “the 
relationship is not simply a nine-month 
program, because it goes beyond the nine 
months. We achieve long term relationships 
and friendships, and personal growth is 
developed in the process as well, and in turn, 
becomes success of the mentors and mentees 
in their respective positions and career within 
the community.”
