ew Year’s Eve at HarborWalk Village was a huge
hit with events that started at 7pm and went
until midnight. Families, couples, and friends
alike gathered along the Destin Harbor for this

free event to ring in the new year with two live bands, two
fireworks shows and endless activities and places to dine. The
activities along the shopping area included caricatures, parrots
for the kids to hold and get photos with, rock climbing, and
more. This year, HarborWalk Village and Emerald Grande
at HarborWalk collected supplies and donations for those
impacted by Hurricane Michael. The donations went to both
PanhandleRelief.org and Volunteer Florida.

On the HarborWalk stage, Flash Flood had the crowd singing and

dancing to newer and older songs, ready to celebrate the new year
and saying goodbye to the old. Offering two firework shows was
great for kids and those who couldn’t make it until the midnight
countdown event. Departure, a Journey Tribute Band rocked the
crowd until the ball drop. The rain held off to enjoy this outdoor
event, and a fun way to be with loved ones while donating and
remembering those impacted by Hurricane Michael.
