I AM DESTIN -

Ron Adams

What is your hometown, what brought you to the Emerald

Coast, and how long have you been here?

I was born November 5, 1962, in rural Jefferson County, Alabama near

a city called Morris.  I lived in the Birmingham, Alabama area until

1990, at which point I moved to Montgomery, and continued south

until I hit the Destin beaches around 2001.

What is your profession and give a brief description of what

you do?

I am an entrepreneur that has owned and/or created several businesses

including Touch of Class Limousine service, Shooters Western Wear

Outlet, Advanced Health and Fitness (an online magazine), have built

and /or bought and sold shopping centers like Landmark Plaza and

Doolittle plaza, both in Fort Walton, and Gemini Towne Center in

Oviedo, Florida, and hotels like Hotel Indigo in Atlanta, Georgia.

What led you to choose this profession?

The business which creates the most interest among people is the

company I started many years ago called Ron Adams Entertainment,

where I book and promote shows, most in which I perform like “The

Rat Pack Show,” “The Country Legends Show,” and most notably

“The Elvis Tribute Show” that I have been doing since 1986.

What do you like best about Destin and what makes it

unique?

The thing I like most about Destin is the people. It just seems that the

best people end up making Destin their home, no matter where they

started out.

Three words that best describe you.

Kind, Entertaining, Giving

Favorite Things you like about Destin.

Besides the people is the weather, and the beaches, which bring people

together for a good time.

I AM DESTIN because…

Destin is me ... happy, relaxed, content, and at peace ... what else would

one want to be. Home is where the heart is, and my heart is in Destin.
