F
ine dining mixed with great
food, a picturesque view of the
Choctowatchee Bay, an indoor and
an outdoor bar, water side seating
and a gift shop would be the best way to
describe the all new Gulf restaurants on
Okaloosa Island. The unique and stylish use of
shipping containers coupled with the location
in the pocket of Okaloosa Island makes this
restaurant an “ideal” spot for the whole family.
The restaurant, which spans 13,701 square
ft. will have a menu that changes every day,
thanks to the supply of fresh fi sh, seafood and
produce from local fi sheries and farmers.
A select few invited to the grand opening
on November 10 enjoyed free drinks and
hors d’œuvres, while the Preservation Hall
Jazz Band from New Orleans played in the
background. Some guests conversed and
touched bases with old acquaintances while
others took the opportunity to tour the facility.
Even though the event was the grand
opening, the Gulf Restaurant was already
opened to the public. Many locals and visitors
to the area have already experienced the
service as well as the menu and are giving good
reviews.
