T

he Boys and Girls Club of the Emerald Coast

had another successful event on Thursday,

September 22. Their 3rd Annual Steak &

Stake Dinner was a blast and an all-out

success with a full house of club members, sponsors,

patrons and guests. Former heavy weight champ

Evander Holyfield was the guest of honor for the event.

He made time to sign photos and speak with local

journalists.

The Boys and Girls Club boasts about 1,950

members. Their mission is to enable all young people to

reach their full potential by being caring and responsible

citizens. This was evident on Thursday as the kids

mingled and showed a willingness to help anyone who

needed a hand. The Directors and Counselors at the

Emerald Coast Boys and Girls Club are successful in

creating caring and responsible citizens.
