Alys Beach Named Third Most
Beautiful Small Town In America
Architectural Digest, an esteemed
international design publication featuring the
work of top architects and designers, as well
as the best in style, culture, and travel, ranked
Alys Beach third on its recent list of “The 50
Most Beautiful Small Towns in America.”
The list specifi cally calls attention to the
nation’s most visually stunning towns of less
than 10,000 residents from coast to coast.
“When developing this list, we looked at
easy access to nature, the presence of historic
or design districts, and topography that’s
appealing in its own right—whether it’s a
beach or mountains, or maybe a riverside
perch,” the publication states.
Architectural Digest highlights Alys
Beach’s iconic architectural elements,
including the white stucco buildings and
Bermuda-inspired details.
“We are so grateful and proud to be a part
of Alys Beach’s formation since the beginning
and see it recognized in the magazine’s list of
the most beautiful small towns in America,”
says Alys Beach Town Architects Marieanne
Khoury-Vogt and Erik Vogt. “Town building
is a communal effort that spans centuries – to
be included on such a list after only little more
than a decade of existence is truly an honor.”
