T

he 2018 Harvest Wine and
Food Festival was a huge hit
along with the perfect cooler
weather to accommodate

the outdoor festival bringing people
from all over Florida and surrounding states. Produced by the Destin
Charity Wine Auction Foundation (DCWAF), this event provides the
opportunity to sip on over 400 of the world’s fi nest wine, craft beer, and
spirits. Also available was seafood, barbecue, and other chef stations by
some of the best restaurants along the Emerald Coast. With a schedule
of events for the entire weekend, the Grand Tasting on Saturday was the
main event. VIP tickets were also available that included a lounge with
football games showing all day, additional food and drinks, massages,

and live music that drew in a crowd for
dancing.

The Destin Charity Wine Auction

Foundation, which was founded in
2005, has donated more than $15 million

to Northwest Florida Charities in that time and their mission states,
“Connecting wine enthusiasts to raise money benefi ting children in
need in Northwest Florida.” With the recent devastation by Hurricane
Michael, the members decided to raise funds in support of the Florida
Disaster Fund this year and help the community recover.

There was a silent auction full of staycations, wine, and other

adventures and attendees could also purchase the wine from the tasting
onsite.
